About Thea Eldred

I am a landscape artist and ecological consultant based in Dunkeld, Scotland. Originally from the southwest of Ireland, I grew up surrounded by the rugged beauty of County Kerry, where a deep appreciation for the natural world first took root. My parents, both artists and founders of Glenflesk Art Gallery, introduced me to painting from an early age. In doing so they fostered a lifelong passion for art and the landscapes that inspire it.

Today, I live and work in Scotland, where the dramatic landscapes, changing light, and rich natural textures continue to influence my work. The Scottish scenery, much like the Irish landscapes of my childhood, fuels my creative process and deepens my appreciation for the natural world.

 

I currently exhibit at the Atholl Gallery in Dunkeld. A selection of original paintings and giclee prints are also available for sale at the Birnam Reader cafe in Dunkeld, or alternatively paintings and prints can be bought privately via email, Facebook or Instagram (see the contact section).  Recent highlights include a sold-out exhibition at the arTay Exhibition in Perth, preceded by two sold-out exhibitions at the Malton Hotel in Killarney.
